ROLE OF THE ENGINEER:

The Village Engineer is responsible for all engineering work in Mount Kisco and serves as a consultant to the Village Manager, Department Heads and the Planning Board. This office oversees all of the Village infrastructure (water, sewer, roadways, sidewalks, Village trees, street lights, traffic lights, municipal lots, etc.). In addition, the Engineering Office is responsible for issuing permits for tree removal/alteration, street and sidewalk openings, excavation and fill, backflow prevention, and drainage work. The Engineer also consults on Building Department permits such as retaining walls and other matters of structural integrity.
