Hillside Water Main Project

Dear Valued Customer:

The Village/Town of Mount Kisco is replacing the water main and associated fittings along Hillside Avenue, Sands Street and Mountain Avenue. This work will improve the control of the water distribution system throughout the community.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, the Village will be cutting in a new valve at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Mountain Avenue. As a result, you may experience discolored water and low water pressure. Residents are advised to store enough water for drinking and cooking and to not do laundry or dishes between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Once water pressure is restored to your home/building after 4:00 pm, you are encouraged to open the cold water faucet and let it run for several minutes to flush the discolored water from your plumbing. If the water does not clear within this time, wait an hour and repeat the process.
