DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Come and join us for our  "Dog Swim" at Memorial Pool in Leonard Park.

THE HAUNTED TRAIL FOR THE LITTLE ONES - Redesigned and Improved

Due to popular demand, we are once again going to open our Haunted Trail to our younger friends on Saturday, October 25th. Come see our decorations, props and scenes in motion during the day. We promise to keep allof our ghosts and goblins at bay during this event. Bring the whole family.

Note: The "Trail" is in the woods so strollers will be difficult to manage. We recommend that all children be able to walk at least a 1/4 mile in order to participate.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE AND CARNIVAL

All participants (fully costumed) are to assemble at The Basketball Court Parking Lot in Leonard Park at 4:00pm and walk to the Memorial Complex. Prizes will be awarded for all participants. Prizes for the Halloween Window Painting Contest will be handed out at this time.

TOUCH A TRUCK

"10 - 4 Big Daddy & Mommy!"Come look at and touch some of the big rigs that we all see driving and working around town. Sit in the driver's seat and explore a variety of trucks, power trucks, garbage trucks, backhoes and much more!

HALLOWEEN WINDOW PAINTING CONTEST

Children in grades K-5 are needed to get Mt. Kisco ready for Halloween 2008! Many businesses have donated window space for us to paint special Halloween scenes on. This week long contest will end right before the Halloween Costume Review and Fun Carnival, where prizes will be given out in several categories. We will provide all of the paint and brushes. All you have to provide is imagination and creativity. This program has filled up in previous years so registration is on a first come, first served basis. Exact window assignments will be given out when your paint is picked up at the Recreation Office.

THE HAUNTED TRAIL AT LEONARD PARK- Redisigned and Improved for 2008

Our new and improved "Haunted Trail at Leonard Park" is gearing up to open again for the season! Families , friends and anyone else who dares are encouraged to come to Leonard Park for this scary yet fun event. Stroll down our path of fright and have scares, opps... we mean: the time of your life. We hope that everyone will survive our path of fright! This event is scary so young children must be accompanied by an adult. Under 6 years old - NOT permitted.

SAFE ON MY OWN

"Safe on my own" is a Red Cross program for children in grades 3 thru 5 who would like to learn the safety measures of what to do when they find that they are alone on their own. Some topics discussed include, what to say on the phone and what to do when a person comes to your door when you are home alone, stranger danger when outside your home, how to call 911 and what to do in an emergency. After successful completion of this one day course, participants will be American Red Cross Certified.
